In 2008 Massachusetts passed the Green Communities Act. It’s legislation that encourages municipalities to adopt clean energy practices in exchange for increased local aid. Since then, more than 80 cities and towns in the state have been designated Green Communities. Southborough’s Green Technology and Recycling Committee thinks our town should consider becoming one of them.
