New recreation programs announced for the spring and summer

I learned to swim at McCarthy Pool on Route 9, so the announcement by the Recreation Department that swim lessons will once again be offered there brought back a flood of memories. Residents donate nearly 700 pounds of food to the Southborough Food Pantry

The Southborough Food Pantry has received a couple of much-needed donations recently. Earlier this month St. Matthew’s Youth Group collected 331 pounds of food and raised more than $1,000 at their second annual Souper Bowl Sunday (at least something good happened that day). Applications available for Southborough Garden Club scholarship

The Southborough Garden Club has established a scholarship to be awarded to a student who has been accepted to a school of higher learning or is presently attending college in one of the following fields: Arts, and or Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture, Botany or Landscape Architecture/Design.
