I’m reminding readers that this Monday is the deadline to put your home on the decorated homes map. Even if you don’t think you’d win a contest — If you invested time (or money) in putting up a display that you’re proud of, make sure community members know where to find you!

A downtown business is promoting a holiday shopping event including “Festive sips” and “Cozy bites”.

A week from tomorrow, Apothecary Artists is holding another special shopping event. This one is marketed as a “Sip & Shop”. In addition to supporting local artists and vendors, the event will include a fundraiser for a local woman recovering from a major surgery. DECA the Halls Holiday Fair — Sunday

Algonquin’s DECA chapter is tapping into its members’ strengths to put on a special fundraiser. Student organizers are inviting the public to shop at what they hope will be the first annual “DECA the Halls” craft fair this Sunday.
