Memorial Day parade and a message to ‘remember’

flagsThe annual Memorial Day parade takes place today starting at 9:00 am. The parade begins at the Marlboro Savings Bank at the corner of East Main and Newton Streets.

The route winds through the Rural Cemetery, Burnett Cemetery, Revolutionary War Cemetery, and the Civil War Memorial. The final stop will be an observance at the All Wars Memorial.

And on this Memorial Day, Southborough resident and VFW Commander Steve Whynot asks you to remember what Memorial Day is all about.

As you enjoy cold beverages, set up the grill and flip another burger – keep in mind, our men and women who are in uniform today. Those who stand in harms way. Those who fight the battle each and every day. Those who stand on guard for our nation. Will You Remember?
