Southborough gets teeny tiny reimbursement for December 2008 ice storm

Last week the state handed out $5.5 million to communities affected by last December’s massive ice storm. Southborough came through the storm relatively unscathed, so you probably won’t be shocked to hear we didn’t get a very big piece of the reimbursement pie.

How much did we get? $258.

Let’s not spend it all in one place.

If I am correct, that will pay for a few tons of road salt….like they needed this morning.

Why bother? It probably cost $1000 in processing and salaries to get the money to Southborough.
