In the media: Southborough Veterinary’s move was a pet project

The Metrowest Daily News has a profile of the Southborough Veterinary Hospital which recently exchanged their old facility on Marlboro Road for a new, larger one on Deerfoot Road.

“Size was always an issue and we simply outgrew the old place,” said co-owner Dr. Sharon Westphal, who still lives with her husband, son, daughter, two cats, and one “large and happy dog” above the hospital’s former location.

Westphal and Dr. Joan Ogden took over the existing Marlborough Road veterinary practice from Dr. Ovid Fraser in 1999. Fraser had been in charge of the hospital since 1973.

“About six years ago we realized a bigger space was needed, as more and more people brought their pets to us for care,” said Westphal. “This new place is a dream come true.”
