Photos: Blue and Buff find a home

Meadow Lane resident Cindy Hill sent in a couple photos of what she hopes are her new tenants. Cindy said that less than a week after they put up two new bluebird houses and a bluebird feeder in their back yard, a pair of bluebirds arrived to check out the accommodations.

Town boards look for common ground on budgets tonight

For the past several months, the Board of Selectmen and the Advisory Committee have been working largely independently to come up with a set of budget recommendations to present to voters at town meeting next week. Tonight they’ll sit down to talk about their recommendations and, where there are differences, attempt to reach common ground.

Youth commission seeks sponsors for wine and shopping fundraiser

Southborough Youth and Family Services, which provides counseling, youth activities, education, and preventive and community programs to the residents of Southborough, faces steep budget cuts this year. To help support SYFS, the Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission will hold and night out fundraiser later this month. They’re looking for local businesses to help sponsor the event.
