Tonight’s event will be held at Woodward School in support of an annual 5K to at Neary School in May. But, the fundraising isn’t for Southborough public schools.

Walkers will be raising money to help Southborough’s school for children with Autism.

New England Center for Children’s 5K takes place on May 7th. (You can learn more here.)

Tonight is to help recruit teams, offer participants fundraising tools, etc. It’s also a celebration, to help walkers feel good about the cause:

Help us celebrate 10 years of NECC’s 5K with free food, giveaway prizes and fun games. Also, NECC Parent Simone Clinton will be sharing her story about son Liam and their success at NECC’s 5K over the last 10 years!

Who is invited: Everyone! Whether you are registered or not, we’d love to have you there. Have a team with family and friends? They can come too! Need to convince someone to run the 5K with you? Bring them to the kick-off.

Where will it be: The Woodward School in Southborough (more specifically, the cafeteria). There will be signs pointing you in the right direction.

What kind of food: Domino’s of Southborough has generously donated the pizza for this event.

What prizes can you win: Door prizes include NECC wear and a paint night gift basket. Everyone who attends will receive a pair of NECC socks!

What games can you play: Bag toss, Frisbee throw, putting green etc.

You can also receive fundraising tips and a reference sheet of area restaurants and businesses who host giveback nights where a portion of sales will be donated back to NECC (and credited to your fundraising progress).
