Why flags are at half staff: Friday, April 29, 2016

Flags in Southborough and across the state are flying at half staff  in honor of Corporal Christopher J. Orlando, United States Marine Corps, of Hingham, MA who died in a tragic military training accident on Thursday, January 14, 2016.

The nighttime crash of two military helicopters off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii resulted in the death of twelve U.S. Marines. You can read more here.

Governor Baker ordered lowering of the flags from sunrise to sunset today, Friday, April 29.
