Police logs: Investigations into B&E (with food fight?) and possibly thwarted burglary

Southborough Police are investigating a few incidents that took place last week. Those include a break in at St. Anne’s Parish Hall on Holy Saturday (where nothing appeared to be taken but a mess was made) and a possible burglary attempt at a Summit Road home on Wednesday.

Friday, April 14, 2017:

  • 0011 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0511 hrs – An officer on patrol observed a male party walking on Turnpike Road. The individual was provided a citizen transport to the Marlborough town line.
  • 0552 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Ashley Road residence.
  • 1004 hrs – Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity in the area of Bantry Road. The responding officers reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 1139 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check at a Fitzgerald Lane residence.
  • 1231 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1403 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from the Fay School on Main Street.
  • 1415 hrs – An officer responded with the fire department to White Bagley Road, to investigate a report of small fire in the area. The fire was located and extinguished.
  • 1609 hrs – An officer took a report of a damaged mail box from an Oak Hill Road resident.
  • 2116 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on three (unoccupied) vehicles that were parked at the 911 Field on Acre Bridge Road. The officer reported back that everything checked out ok.
  • 2128 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle that was parked at Mary Finn School on Richards Road. The officer reported back that the vehicle checked out ok.
  • 2128 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle that was parked at Trottier Middle School on Parkerville Road. The officer reported back that the vehicle checked out ok.
  • 2138 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle that was parked on Lynbrook Road. The officer reported back that the vehicle checked out ok.
  • 2325 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle that was parked at the MBTA Station. The officer reported back that the vehicle and the occupants checked out ok.

Saturday, April 15, 2017:

  • 0125 hrs – An officer on patrol investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked outside of a Northboro Road business. The vehicle and the operator checked out ok.
  • 0146 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0153 hrs – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was charged with OUI Alcohol; Defective Equipment; and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
  • 1057 hrs – An officer took a report of a B&E to St. Anne’s Church on Boston Road. The reporting party stated that a male and female were seen leaving the Parish center as the reporting party entered the building. Food was found to be thrown around the room, but nothing appeared to have been taken. Officers checked the area and reported back that the individuals were no longer on scene or in the area. The incident is currently under Investigation.
  • 1153 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1238 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a group of kids on White Bagley. The officer reported back that everything checked out ok with them.
  • 1528 hrs – An officer took a harassment complaint from an Oak Hill Road resident.
  • 2232 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a motor vehicle parked on Parkerville Road. The officer reported back that the vehicle checked out ok.
  • 2339 hrs – A motorist from Holden, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Sunday, April 16, 2017:

  • 0047 hrs – A medical was reported at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 0151 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Parkerville Road.
  • 0208 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle that was parked in front of a Main Street business. The officer reported back that the vehicle checked out ok.
  • 0955 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.
  • 1519 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1648 hrs – Officers investigated a road hazard (excessive amount of water in the roadway) on Liberty Drive. A water main break was discovered on Liberty Drive, and the Water Department was called to respond to the scene.
  • 2221 hrs – A medical was reported at a Richards Road residence.

Monday, April 17, 2017:

  • 0119 hrs – An officer investigated a noise complaint in the area of 225 Turnpike Road. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
  • 0146 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0430 hrs – Officers investigated a noise complaint on Lovers Lane. A tree was found to have fallen and taken down some power lines in the area. National Grid was notified and responded to the scene.
  • 0659 hrs – A medical was reported at the Red Roof Inn on Turnpike Road.
  • 0810 hrs – An officer investigated a report of two suspicious vehicles that were seen leaving Westborough (on Turnpike Road) and heading into Southborough. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
  • 0835 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0921 hrs – An officer responded to a Southville Road residence to assist with a neighbor dispute.
  • 1059 hrs – An officer investigated a noise complaint on Parkerville Road.
  • 1204 hrs – Solicitors came into the police station to register.
  • 1247 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1320 hrs – A medical was reported at a North Street residence.
  • 1337 hrs – An officer took a report of a possible larceny from a Leonard Drive resident. The incident is currently under Investigation.
  • 1348 hrs – An officer investigated a traffic complaint on Parkerville Road. The reporting party stated that there was a motorcyclist that was speeding up and down Parkerville Road. The responding officer reported back that the cyclist was no longer in the area.
  • 1403 hrs – An officer investigated a parking complaint at a Southville Road business.
  • 1440 hrs – A found wallet was brought to the police station and later returned to the owner.
  • 1510 hrs – A medical was reported at a Glen Court residence.
  • 1531 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious backpack located on White Bagley Road. The backpack was found to belong to an individual fishing nearby.
  • 1730 hrs – Southborough Police assisted Westborough Police with booking a prisoner at the police station.
  • 1736 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1814 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a found bicycle on Charles Court.
  • 2115 hrs – A male party was placed into protective custody due to alcohol intoxication on Southville Road.

Tuesday, April 18, 2017:

  • 0511 hrs – A medical was reported at a Blueberry Lane residence.
  • 0911 hrs – An officer took a report of a possible identity theft.
  • 0946 hrs – An officer assisted with a neighbor dispute on Oak Hill Road.
  • 1221 hrs – Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1602 hrs – An officer took a report of a possible scam from a town resident. The detective unit is currently Investigating the incident.
  • 1730 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1730 hrs – Officers responded to a Southville Road business for a possible disturbance. A male party was asked to leave the business and was asked not to return by the responding officers and business owner.
  • 1914 hrs – An officer investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Main Street.
  • 2138 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Fisher Road residence.
  • 2338 hrs – An officer on patrol checked on a vehicle parked in front of a Main Street business. The officer reported back that everything checked out ok.

Wednesday, April 19, 2017:

  • 1352 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Orchard Road residence.
  • 1535 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boswell Lane residence.
  • 1559 hrs – A motorist from Worcester, MA was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • 1614 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1616 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1827 hrs – Officers investigated a suspicious activity report at a Summit Road residence. The reporting party stated that a white box truck backed down his driveway; but fled the area when the homeowner opened the door to the residence. The incident is currently under Investigation, and we ask that any residents who have observed similar activity to contact the police department at (508) 485-2121. Thank you.
  • 1906 hrs – Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Cordaville Road residence.
  • 2055 hrs – A medical was reported at a Southville Road business.
  • 2305 hrs – Officers investigated a report of two suspicious motor vehicles in the parking lot of a Framingham Road business. The responding officers located the involved parties and reported back that everything checked out ok
