Obituary: Dr. Ronald J. Kolodziej

Dr. Ronald J. Kolodziej of Plymouth MA and formerly Southborough MA died peacefully surrounded by his family in Charlotte NC while visiting his daughter and her family on Friday April 28, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Ron known as Dr. K by most, was a prominent dentist in Framingham for over 41 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah. 

In addition he leaves his daughter Briana and her Husband Dr Daniel Hanks of Indian Land, SC and their two daughters Ashlee and Rylee. His daughter Brooke currently lives in Japan with her husband Matthew Furtick of SC and his daughter Brittany and her husband Jamie of Arlington, Ma. He also leaves his brother Randolph of Uxbridge MA and his spouse Glen Matheson. Ron was the son of the late John and Helen Kolodziej of Uxbridge and the son in law of the late Virginia Lucier of Framingham. 

Ron graduated from Uxbridge High School ’69, Boston College ’73 and Tufts School of Dental Medicine. He was passionate about life and his motto was Every day a holiday, every day a feast. Ron was always a student… eager to learn; and gave it his all. He never stopped his quest for learning and a desire to master each with gusto… whether it was learning about wine, gardening, gourmet cooking, trap shooting, pheasant hunting, roasting a whole pig over an open pit… golfing, whatever it was, he was in it to win it.

Dr. K. loved serving his patients and considered most his friends. He was passionate about dentistry and along with his family ministered through dentistry in the Dominican Republic . He was a member and former elder at Connect Community Church in Ashland. A 43 year member at Framingham Country Club, and a member of the Plymouth and Southborough Rod and Gun Club. Ron lived life to the fullest, and made everyone around him feel special.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday, May 6 at 11am at Connect Community Church, 280 Pleasant Street, Ashland MA.
