  • Healthy Living Seminar (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: An education program by the alzheimer’s association – insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations. 
  • Solar Eclipse (1:26 – 3:59 pm): The partial eclipse visible from our region will take place this afternoon, peaking at 2:45 pm. For more details (and safe viewing tips) click here.

  • “Goodbye” Party for Library’s Hiedi Lindsey (1:00 – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Patrons are welcome to stop by the library to congratulate Heidi on her new job as Town accountant, offer wishes of good luck and share in some food & fun.
  • Poetry Workshop Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, main floor: Join several Southborough poets as they review and discuss the work of a featured author and discuss & create poetry of their own. The group meets twice per month. The series is through a partnership between the Southborough Public Library & the Worcester County Poetry Association.

  • ARHS Freshman Orientation (9:30 – 11:30 am) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Freshman Orientation Class of 2021
  • ARHS New Student Orientation (10:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Orientation for new Sophomore through Senior students to the school
  • Trottier Open House for new students (2:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: This is a time to step into the building and take a “self-guided” tour. It breaks the ice and reminds students of the surroundings. It is geared towards new students or incoming 6th graders, however, it is always good for some 7th graders to pop by.
  • Welcome to Kindergarten Party (2:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Kids will enjoy fun, relevant stories, a craft, and treats.
  • ARHS Freshman Dance and Parent Meeting (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School:

  • Children’s Nature Journaling (10:30 – 11:30 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Special program for kids – Pre-registration is required What: Sketching, writing, and drawing in a journal is a great way to improve children’s observation skills, help them gain an interest in science and the environment, and it’s a wonderful way to relax during a busy summer.   • Southborough Summer Nights (5:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Neary and Trottier Fields: The town’s biggest annual event – ending with fireworks at dusk. Festivities includes a ton of FREE kids activities There is also live music and a slew of food vendors. For details, see dedicated post.
