  • Boating for Seniors (9:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Hopkinton State Park: Weekly discount boating program for Southborough seniors through the summer. Limited capacity and pre-registration is required. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Nutrition Demo – Tastier Sandwiches (Senior Center Program) (11:30 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Part of this spring’s nutrition demo series. Capacity is limited and this may be full. Call 508-229-4453 to register. The suggested donation for the program is $3 per person. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Adult Coloring (Senior Center Program) (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd: Come enjoy a stress free activity that relaxes the brain and allows your mind to get the rest it needs. Adult Coloring Books will make your life a whole lot brighter. All supplies will be supplied by the senior center.
  • Parent Math Workshop Series 2018: Avoid the Summer Slide (6:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, Library, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: The series is being run by Northborough/Southborough district math coordinators for parents. What is the Summer Slide and is it real? Parents, join us as we discuss this phenomenon and explore ways to bring math alive during summer break. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Eric Green Award presentation (around 7:30 pm) @ Eric Green Memorial Field on Finn School grounds: The annual ceremony will follow the Little League’s 6:00 pm Championship game. For more details, see dedicated post.

  • Purgatory Chasm (9:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ meet at the Southborough Senior Center: A program of the Trailblazers for active seniors. Carpool to a hike. This trail includes climbing some difficult rocky areas. Followed by a picnic lunch. Suggested Donation: $5 For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Food Truck Wednesdays (3:00 – 7:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s Meadow (rtes 30 & 85): Last day of the series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club this spring. This event will feature vendors: Anzios Brick Oven Pangea Cuisine Say Cheese Teddy’s Lunch Box Trombetta’s Ice Cream For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Art on the Trails – Moving Celebration (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: The opening reception for this year’s Art on the Trails exhibit at Southborough Open Land Foundation’s Beal Preserve. Walk and hear participating artists talk about their work on display. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Gardening – The Organic Approach (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Bugs taking over your life? Weary of spraying the wrong stuff on your food? We’ll help take all the guess work out of everything!” Join the Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardeners for this fun and informative topic. This program will be filmed by Southborough Access Media.   • Fused Glass Pendant Workshop (3:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Patrons will learn how to design and create their own unique glass pendants at this workshop. Aimed at ages 10 & up. Final pendants will be picked up at the library at a later date. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Southborough Summer Concert Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Neary School field by the tennis courts: First of this summer’s free family friendly outdoor concerts. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Headliner: Soul Intensity. For more details, including food vendors, see dedicated post.
  • Flag Retirement Ceremony (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ lower DPW parking lot area: Veterans of VFW Post 3276 and American Legion Post 161 will be conducting our annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. Residents who have old – worn – torn or unserviceable Flags – are welcomed to drop them off at the Flag Collection box at the Transfer Station – Located on the west side of the Control Booth. They can also bring them to the Retirement Ceremony that evening and join us as we retire the flags collected from the Rural Cemetery recently and over the past year, by a respectful ceremonial burning.   • Trottier Big Band’s Evening of Jazz (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School auditorium: Trottier’s annual Big Band concert provides a community showcase for their talented, award winning players. The guest performer this year is professional saxophonist Mark Zaleski. Attendance is free, but they will be collecting donations and selling refreshments that night.   • Movie matinee (Senior Center program) (12:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free screening of The Post (PG-13, drama/thriller, 1 hr 57 min) The room opens at 11:30 for lunch. You can bring your own or for suggested donation of $3 get the Cafe lunch – finger sandwiches, dessert, and a drink. If you plan to purchase lunch – you need to pre-register at the front desk, 508-229-4453.
