Obituary: Edward F. Fallon, Jr., 89

Edward Francis Fallon Jr, 89, of Southborough, died on Saturday, August 4, 2018, after a period of declining health.

He was the beloved husband, of the late Beverly (Boyle) Fallon who died in 2016.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Bryden) and Edward F. Fallon, Sr. Ed was a US Army Veteran serving in Korean War, and was a pathfinder with 101st Airborne, participating in operation of Tomahawk, setting the beacons for the largest airdrop in U.S. Military history. He was later appointed by Governor Peabody as magistrate of the Massachusetts Courts. Ed was a fascinating gentleman and had a variety of interesting jobs, such a real estate investor, bee keeper , wine and mead maker and cars salesman.

He leaves behind his children, Edward F. Fallon, III of Worcester; Joy and Alexis Fallon of Southborough; and his grandchildren, Edward Fallon IV and Katarina Fallon; His siblings, Eleanor Perkins of Boston ; Everett Fallon of Plymouth; his cousin and dear friend, Edward Mahoney of Wayland; numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is predeceased by a brother, Fredrick “Tiny” Fallon, his brother

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 10, from 5 to 7pm at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

A Funeral Mass will be held on at 9 am on Saturday, August 11 at St. Matthew Church, 26 Highland St, Southborough . Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick
