Traditionally, the Interboro Community Band has wrapped up the spring season with a free concert at the Willows (a senior residential complex in Westborough.) This year, they are holding an additional concert at Algonquin Regional High School.

The band that began in the 90s as a group for Northborough-Southborough adults and teens opened their borders in recent years to allow any local player to join. With more members, they looked for a bigger venue to hold a rain or shine concert. Since they’re based out of Algonquin, the school’s stage was the natural choice.

Here’s their invitation for the public to join them this coming Monday:

On Monday, evening, June 17th at 7:30 PM the band will be performing a free concert in the Algonquin Regional High School Auditorium. The program will consist of arrangements from West Side Story, LaLa Land and How the West Was Won, as well as exciting repertoire from the concert band literature. Under the direction of Matt Lefebvre, the group now boasts membership of over fifty talented musicians of all ages who relish the excitement and challenges of playing with this outstanding community symphonic band.

As always, admission to Interboro Community Band Concerts is free and the public is welcome.

During the past season, the Interboro Community Band was proud to receive grants from the Northborough and Southborough Arts Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
