St. Mark’s Church VBS camp: August 19-23; Early Bird registration due Saturday (Updated)

by beth on June 11, 2019

As you try to make plans for kids’ camps this summer, you may have not been able to find anything for the week before the start of public school.* But as they do most years, St. Mark’s Church is coming to the rescue.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is again holding its VBS (Vacation Bible School) camp in late August for pre-K to entering 5th grade.

Kids do not have to be affiliated with St. Mark’s (or any) church or be Southborough residents to attend the program.

The annual camp is run by CORI-checked adults and younger helpers. Which means, the church is also seeking volunteers middle school and older.

Here are this summer’s details:

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will hold its 2019 Vacation Bible School (VBS) on Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 9 a.m. to noon each day.

St. Mark’s is located at 27 Main St. in Southborough. Children from Southborough and surrounding towns are welcome and do not need to be St. Mark’s Church members or members of any church to attend. The program is open to children entering Pre K (age 4) to those who are entering Grade 5.

This year’s VBS theme is “To Mars and Beyond.” Bible stories will focus on voyagers of all ages who will go on a space travel adventure, exploring where God’s power can take them. Voyagers will discover new realms of possibilities as they reach for the stars and encounter the limitless power and love of God. Each day there will be games, interactive Bible stories, science, skits, songs, snacks, skits, and more.

The cost is $50 for one child; $85, two children; $110, three children; and $135, four children, and includes all activities, snacks, a camp T shirt and a water bottle.

Signups prior to June 15 receive a $10 early bird discount per family.
