I received another posting of jobs available in Southborough. One of them, brings back fond memories from one of my earliest summer jobs – Counselor at a Southborough Rec Camp.

Summer camp positions for adults and teens:
- Summer Camp Assistant Supervisor
Applicants MUST be 21 years or older and be able to work June 29 through August 20, 2020, Mondays – Fridays from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.Under the direction of the Summer Camp Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations of Southborough Recreation’s summer camp program. This individual will help manage up to 20 part time staff and be the point person to lead our Counselor in Training program. The Asst. Supervisor will implement policies, procedures, and programming while ensuring a safe enriching environment for registered campers.

- Summer Camp Counselor
Applicants MUST have completed their Sophomore year of High School, have experience working with children and be able to work June 29 through August 20, 2020, Mondays – Fridays from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.Counselors are responsible for supervision, safety, and overall experience of campers involved in the Southborough Recreation Summer Day Camp system. Counselors will be tasked with implementing programming, policies, and procedures as directed by the Camp’s Supervisor or his/her designee. Interaction with parents, guardians, and caregivers will be mandatory.

Note: Under state law, teens under the age of 18 need a work permit before starting a job. If you don’t already have one, you can find information on obtaining one here.
