On Friday, I updated that the Town closed its playgrounds to the public and restricted use of the fields. This afternoon, the Town went further, prohibiting all public use of fields.
An email from Southborough Recreation announced the change:
Please note the following update regarding the use of Town Recreation Facilities:
- ALL playgrounds, school and town, will now be closed to public use.
- ALL fields, school and town, will now be closed to public use.
- This includes 9/11 field
- Organized play on fields continues to be prohibited – this includes social/pick up style games
- PLEASE NOTE: All playgrounds, picnic tables, & site furnishings are NOT sterilized or cleaned regularly.
