No Sunrise Easter Service this year

This year, instead of gathering with other Southborough parishioners at the state park to celebrate Easter Sunday at sunrise, you can join them “spiritually” in a moment of prayer from your own homes or special places.

Each year, the United Parishes of Southborough hold a Sunrise Easter Service at Hopkinton State Park. This year, the churches asked me to share that the service won’t be held.

Co-Chair Annie Elfland writes:

We cannot physically gather, but we can join spiritually in raising our voices in prayer on Easter morning!

She also took the opportunity to remind the public about the United Parishes’ Food Pantry:

The Southborough Food Pantry continues its vital work of neighbors helping neighbors during this difficult time. Please continue to support the mission and reach out if you need help.

I asked for more details on how the community can best support the pantry. They can’t take online donations, but checks and gift cards can be made out and mailed to:

The Southborough Food Pantry
P.O. Box 281
Soutborough, MA 01772

Food and paper good donations are still being accepted in bins outside back of Pilgrim Church. (To ensure they are safe, the donations are “quarantined” for days before being added to the pantry stock.)
