  • Virtual Teen Book Club (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ zoom: Join us for a discussion of a recommended title from Trottier’s reading list and one of our favorite books, The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. Join staff for a discussion about the book and participate in some online activities via the Zoom platform. Wear your favorite basketball team jersey or team colors. Hosted by Leah and Amy.   • Library’s Virtual Story Time (10:30 am) @ Facebook: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time on Facebook live, which will also be viewable after. (Note: you don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the Library’s videos.) These take place every Tuesday and Friday through August.
  • Creative Writing Club (3:00 – 3:40 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Library is hosting this weekly club for tweens and teens through mid-August. Are you looking for a new place to foster your writing? How about a welcoming environment to share writing projects? Or maybe some help practicing your writing skills in a fun way? Tuesday afternoons meet with other writers along with library associate Marianna Sorensen to brainstorm ideas and share projects. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Facebook Live Music with David Garden! (11:00 am – 11:30 am) @ Facebook: Looking for something fun to do with the kids this summer? Join the Southborough Library for a FACEBOOK LIVE CONCERT for children performed by David Garden. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.
  • Online Literacy Webinar by Fay School (1:00 – 1:35 pm) @ webinar: Your Parenting Toolbox: Fostering Language and Literacy in the Early Years Register now for Fay School’s parenting webinar for parents of children ages 3-6. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Virtual Dreamcatchers (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ zoom: Southborough Library crafternoon program. Registered participants will receive a craft kit by mail prior to the virtual crafting session. Mandy Roberge will lead participants ages 8-18 through the process over zoom. Create a unique piece of wall art using antique doilies, beads, fathers, lace, ribbon and more!
