Coordinator of Children’s Ministries (part-time)

Pilgrim Congregational Church in Southborough, MA is looking to fill the role of Coordinator of Children’s Ministries. This is a part-time position responsible for overall leadership in educational programming, including guidance and resources for all aspects of the Sunday School in accordance with the goals, objectives and policies established by the Christian Education Committee. The Coordinator of Children’s Ministries will lead the Sunday School program for grades pre-school through eight and nurture the faith journeys of our youth.

      • The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who can:
      • Be a consistent presence at church each week and develop relationships with youth of all ages, parents, and church leaders,
      • Value teamwork with volunteer teachers and all church teams, and
      • Recognize and support the individual needs of the different personalities of our specific youth and find ways to connect, involve and empower them
      • Creates a warm and welcoming environment for children and their parents/guardians

This position will be 12 months in length and will require a commitment of 10-15 hours per week (including a minimum of 3-4 hours on-site Sundays).

Police Dispatcher (per diem/part-time)

The Southborough Police Department is looking to establish a list of qualified candidates for per diem/part-time public safety dispatcher positions for immediate and future openings. Job duties include answering business and emergency calls, handling walk-in traffic, assisting the general public, and dispatching Police, Fire, and EMS. Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be 18 years of age or older with no criminal record. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma. Strong oral, written, and communications skills; and computer experience is a must for the position. Preference will be given to those with certifications in APCO basic telecommunications, CPR, First Aid, Emergency Medical Dispatching, and Next Gen 911. Salary starts at $21.00/hr.
