Above: If you’re planning on participating in the virtual Gobble Wobble, there’s one essential component to your running attire. No, it’s not the hats! (images cropped from photos by Chris Wraight)

As I previously shared, Southborough Recreation announced that the Gobble Wobble will be run virtually this year. Now, Friends of Southborough Recreation asked me to notify that this Friday (November 6th) is an important early bird deadline. It doesn’t get you a discount, but it ensures you’ll get the annual long sleeve race shirt:

DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO GUARANTEE SHIRT: NOVEMBER 6, 2020
After 11/6 we cannot guarantee size or availability due to the need to pre order. No size exchanges will be allowed this year due to limits.

Below are more details on this year’s event:

Join the Friends of Southborough Recreation as we run the 14th Annual Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving 5k. This year we will be VIRTUAL!

Run, Walk, or Wobble your way to completing a 5k run or walk (3.1 miles) between November 22 and 28. This 5k can be done anywhere you feel comfortable and with as many friends and family as you can find!

Submit your 5k times to Southborough Recreation by emailing Recreation@southboroughma.com. All 5k times will be posted online on November 30th, 2020. Winners will be crowned for overall male and female times.

The cost of the 5k this year is $25 and includes a long sleeve shirt! A shirt pick up date will be announced prior to the race window time. 100% of proceeds will be collected and put towards program scholarships for Southborough Recreation after school programs, summer camp programming, and miscellaneous recreation offerings.

The Friends of Southborough Recreation is a registered 501(c)(3) Non profit
