Friday was another good news, bad news day for Algonquin sports. The girls tennis team won their Division 1 Central championship match against St. Peter Marian by a score of 4 to 1. The defending state champion Tomahawks face West champion Longmeadow in the state semifinal round today at Clark University.

On the bad news side, it was a tough day on the diamond for the boys baseball team. They fell to top-ranked St. John’s on Friday by a score of 9 to 4. The boys finished the season with a record of 14-8.

Southborough photographer Chris Wraight was at both games and sent in these photos.
