The shelves at the Southborough Food Pantry were looking pretty bare last week, but not anymore. Southborough scouts collected nearly 9,500 pounds of food during their annual Scouting for Food drive on Saturday.

Organizers sent out these words of thanks to all those who contributed.

The Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts of Southborough, as well as the Southborough Food Pantry, would like to send a huge Thank You to all the Southborough Residents who donated to Scouting for Food on Saturday. Thanks to your contributions we were able to collect almost 9,500 pounds of food to help families in crisis in our town. Your generosity and dedication to helping others in need has been truly inspiring. Thank you all.

Scouting mom Laura Coldwell-Stewart was there on Saturday with her camera in hand, and she shared these photos of the event. Click an image in the gallery below to enlarge.
