Algonquin students streaming: WARHS Radio

Algonquin students are On the Air this spring. Well. . . actually, they are on the web.

Algonquin launched a radio station in March.* But don’t bother tuning your radio. To tune in, you’ll need to connect to the internet. (That’s OK. If you can’t do that, I don’t know how you’re reading this story in the first place!)

WARHS is broadcast live from the school. Currently, the station only streams on school days, with no podcasts offered.

Programming was originally billed as from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. But it varies more than that, sometimes beginning or ending earlier. You can check out the schedule here.

Programs cover a variety of talk topics and music, running from 5 minutes long to over an hour. And it’s not just students on the mic. Earlier this spring, I listened in while a teacher spun tunes over lunch.

*Sorry for the delay in sharing the news. I stumbled across it earlier this spring, but was too swamped to cover it!
