Fall RAP: After school programs for K-8

Looking to sign kids up for after school fun? Registration is open for creative, educational, and athletic activities starting mid-September..

With the school year kicking off this week, you may already be worrying about activities to occupy your kids after school this fall.

Registration is open for the first season of Southborough RAP (Recreation After-School Programs). Four of the classes are already filled, but more than a dozen options are still available.

Here’s what is being offered by Rec this fall. Each program begins after school Pickup times are noted below. The pickup location is at the school for every program except the ones noted as offsite*.

Fall 2023 RAPFinn RAP Programming

These classes run after school until 4:30 pm:

  • Tuesdays:
    • Martial Arts
  • Wednesdays:
    • STEM Beginnings
  • Thursdays:
    • Broadway Fundamentals – Jr Theater Club
  • Note: Registration is already full for:
    • Lego Adventures
    • Back to School & Halloween Nailed it
    • Fall Time Slime & Creative Projects Club

Woodward RAP Programming

The on-site classes run after school until 4:15 pm:

  • Tuesdays:
    • Friends on The Farm (at Chestnut Hill Farm until 4:45 pm)*
    • Back to School & Halloween Nailed it
  • Wednesdays:
    • Lego Adventures
    • Flag Football
  • Thursdays:
    • Dodgeball
    • Young Scientists at National Parks
  • Fridays
    • Chess Wizards
    • STEM Beginnings

Neary RAP Programming

The on-site classes run after school until 4:05 pm:

  • Tuesdays:
    • Fun with Pickleball
  • Wednesdays:
    • Chess Wizards
    • Gulbankian Florist Shop Connect with Nature (at Gulbankian Florist Shop until 4:15 pm)*
  • Note: Registration is already full for:
    • Robotic Programming

*For the offsite programs, Recreation will transport students after school, but parents must pick them up directly from the program location,
