Share your opinions on the Library Building

Zoom into the Nov 2nd "Virtual Forum" and/or fill out the survey by Nov 9th

The Trustees of the Southborough Library still seeking feedback from the public on the library building and space needs. It’s a necessary step as the Trustees pursue potentially applying for grant funds for a future building project.

If you haven’t weighed in yet, they’re asking you to join their next forum and/or complete an online survey.

Survey

The brief survey asks takers if the Library has sufficient space for materials and services, whether they would consider relocating it, what they would like to see any additional space used for, and whether they would support moving any of its functions to a secondary location.

That last topic relates to overlapping work by the Community Center Exploration Committee. (For more on the context of the Trustees’ and the CCEC’s work, see my prior post.)

You can participate in the survey here. (There are less than 10 questions and it should be quick to complete.)

Open Forum

Library Building Virtual Forum FlyerIf you’d rather provide more in-depth feedback, or would like to ask questions before answering questions, there is also one last public forum you can save the date for.

The Library already hosted two public forums in person. Now they are inviting the public to participate by zoom. To make the public feel more comfortable about being open and honest, the events aren’t run by Library staff. (Residents Mary Tinti and Elizabeth Zulick volunteered to moderate.)

On Thursday, November 2nd, the Library will host a forum over zoom. To register to get the zoom link, click here.
