As I’ve previously posted, Algonquin is bringing back its revamped “JPPP” (Junior Post Prom Party).
This month, ARHS and the APTO raised the alarm that “The JPPP Can’t Happen Without Your Help…”
To pay for the fun for students, they need donations and sponsorships.
There is one change worth noting since my previous post on the party.
To help fund the event, it is no longer going to be free for everyone. For most juniors, they’ll charge an affordable price of $25 per ticket to help cover costs while still incentivizing them to attend the safe prom after-party. (For students who can’t afford it, I’m told that APTO scholarships will be available.)1
But that admission fee is not nearly enough to pay for entertainment to attract students to attend the substance-free, supervised celebration on their big night. A message from the APTO to junior parents pleads:
We’re working hard on fundraising for the event but falling short of our goal—can you help? . . .
Your generosity will help us create a memorable, safe, and fun night where students can continue the celebration with friends after prom.
There are a few ways that the public can support the event. Families and community members can make donations, or purchase a personalized message to be screened at the big after party.
Or organizations can purchase sponsorships.
Below are more details on each option.
Donations & Personal Messages
The APTO invites donations of any amount, but offers a special opportunity for those who make a donation of $100 or more. Their message explains:
Celebrate the Junior Class and Show Your Support!
Have your family’s name and a personalized message displayed on the big screen in the bowling alley, all night long, for a $100 donation!
Or donate any amount to help keep the JPPP a beloved tradition for our students—every dollar counts! . . .
Two Quick Steps to Take:
1. Make Your Donation Here: JPPP Donation
Be sure to add in the memo section: “JPPP Bowling Alley Donation” for a $100 donation, or “JPPP Donation” for different donation amount
2. Sign Up to Sponsor the Bowling Alley Here: JPPP Bowling Alley Family Sponsor
Include your sponsorship message, e.g., “Have Fun! Love, The Smiths”
Sponsorships
The sponsorship levels range from $100 to $10,000. So there are plenty of options depending on budgets and interest in the tax deductible marketing opportunities.
The event will take place following the prom on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Apex Center in Marlborough. The APTO pitches to potential sponsors:
Sponsoring the Junior Post Prom Party is a great way to support ARHS students while showcasing your business to local families. Your generosity will help create an unforgettable experience for our students.
The APTO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so the donations are fully tax-deductible.
Sponsorship options include:
- Sponsoring a room/area
- Sponsoring a bowling lane
- Sponsoring the Breakfast Bar
- Publicity by the APTO
- and a big “Platinum Sponsorship Package” that includes sponsorship of the “Arcade Experience”
