The town is again working with a resident yoga instructor to hold a “relaxing and rejuvenating” session for the public this weekend. The free “Family” event is designed for all ages and skill levels.

The community is invited to join this session organized by Southborough Recreation in partnership with Southborough Youth & Family Services in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM).

Family Yoga flyerThe “Family Yoga in the Park” event will be held on the field in front of the outdoor stage on the Neary School campus (53 Parkerville Road). However, if the forecast indicates rain is likely to ruin the event, organizers have a backup plan. (Scroll down for that.)*

Southborough Rec is advertising the event as “promoting mindfulness, wellness, and connection”.

The session will be led by resident Emma Bartolini of Children’s Mindful Yoga. It will take place a noon this Sunday, May 18th.

There is no registration required, just:

Bring your yoga mats and loved ones for a fun and peaceful experience. Together, let’s prioritize our mental and physical well-being.

*Updated (5/13/25 11:03 am): Southborough Rec notified me (and I added relevant links): “if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the yoga workshop indoors at 21 Highland Street, top floor. We’ll make the announcement on the facebook event page, our facebook page, and our website by Saturday evening.”
