Professional artists aren’t the only ones whose works are on display for public viewing this month in, or linked to, Southborough. The library is holding a special exhibit, with a reception tomorrow morning.
Plus, at Algonquin next week, the school will open its exhibit of student artworks.
Here are more details on each exhibit and reception.
Mini Art Exhibit
As I’ve previously posted, the library gave away “Mini Art Kits” earlier this month as part of their efforts to support Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM). The “grab and go” kits were offered as a way for community members of all ages to express themselves and “take a mindful break”.
Many who took the kits have also taken the library up on the opportunity to return their finished pieces to be exhibited at the library. Below are just a few examples:
The reception tomorrow (Saturday, May 17th) will highlight the works in an exhibit on the main floor. That will run from 11:00 am to noon with light refreshments.
Afterwards, the pieces will be distributed throughout the library for display through the end of the month

ARHS Student Exhibit
The Spring Art Show for Algonquin Regional High School students will be on display in the school’s Wrestling Gym from Monday, May 19th through Friday the 30th during school hours.
For families and members of the public, an evening reception will be held this Wednesday, May 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The entrance for that is through the rotunda at the front of the school.
