Obituary: Timothy “Timmy” Myles Howard, 22

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Timothy Myles Howard, affectionately known as Timmy, to friends and family. A genuinely kind-hearted, humble, loving and empathetic soul, Timmy passed away unexpectedly on May 24th in the presence of his family due to a severe anaphylactic reaction to peanuts at the young age of 22.

Born September 4th, 2002, Timmy grew up in Southborough, MA, attending Algonquin Regional High School and had a passion for sports, especially ice hockey having played for several years on the Triboro Youth Hockey league and the Algonquin Regional High School team. He had a love of life and especially loved hanging out with his close high school friends and cousins and his Phi Kappa Psi frat brothers at URI. Timmy deeply cherished growing up on a cul-de-sac with his “Foley Crew” of buds who have remained his brothers throughout his life, spending summers at Sandy Island YMCA camp on Lake Winnipesaukee, family reunions in Wolfeboro, NH, hunting & fishing, watching the Bruins and Patriots, vacationing with family, sitting on the beach having long talks with his sister and kicking up his heels on the dance floor to his favorite music.

Timmy is survived by his parents, Tim & Patty (Phillips) Howard, sister, Julia Howard, grandmother Virginia (Shattuck) Phillips, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins that he loved spending time with. He is pre-deceased by his grandparents Myles Howard and Janet (Perkins) Howard of East Boothbay, ME and grandfather James Phillips of Winchester, MA. His physical absence will be on the hearts of all of us who loved him and somehow we will persevere, remembering Timmy’s love for us and knowing he would want us to smile, laugh, dance and live with joy.

A memorial service to celebrate Timmy’s life will be held at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd., Brewster, MA on Friday May 30th at 11:00am followed by lunch at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Food Allergy Research & Awareness (FARE) organization; https://www.foodallergy.org/ or consider either donations to, or becoming a foster family for a dog in need at Sandy Paws Rescue; https://www.sandypawsmv.com/about.html. Timmy loved dogs and fostering them.
