Tennis Clinic for K-8 kids this summer (Updated)

ARHS Boys Tennis is putting on a 5-evening youth tennis clinic.

In late June, the Algonquin Boys Tennis will hold a Tennis Clinic for kids entering grades K-8. The program will take place on five evenings at ARHS’ tennis courts.

The clinic is a team fundraiser run by the team’s coach with help from players and parent volunteers.

ARHS Youth Tennis Clinics flyerKids don’t need any experience playing to take part. According to organizers, kids will be “grouped by age and skill level to ensure everyone has a great time and learns at their own pace”. (1-2 high school players will work with each four player group.)

The team encourages:

Whether your child is trying tennis for the first time or building on existing skills, this clinic is a great way to spark interest in the sport — and have fun with our enthusiastic and friendly high school players!

The dates are scheduled for 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, June 23rd through Friday, June 27th. But rain could push some of the days to the following week.

The fee is $250 per child.

ARHS' new Gonkplex Tennis Courts from Instagram post in Sept 2023Registration is limited to the first 24 participants — 4 players per court. (The number of tennis courts was reduced from 9 to 6 as part of the GonkPlex project. The good news is that the reconstructed courts installed less than two years ago should be in great shape!)

If it doesn’t fill up sooner, the cutoff for signup is June 15th.
