It’s time to save the dates for this year’s free Southborough Summer Concert Series.
In two weeks, Southborough Recreation’s series will return for four Wednesday nights, starting mid-July.
If you’re surprised there aren’t more concerts, don’t fret. Rec has also scheduled a new fun series for other Wednesday nights this summer — Block Parties on July 9th and 30th will feature music from DJs. (To read more about those events, click here.) Plus, there’s always a live band on the outdoor stage at the Summer Nights celebration. That’s scheduled for the evening of August 23rd. (Stay tuned for more details.)
The Concert series takes place on the outdoor stage and field at Neary School, 53 Parkerville Road. Concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs. Dinner trucks aren’t being promoted this year, but you can bring your own takeout/picnic dinner to enjoy.
Plus, the first concert in the series will feature a desert food truck. Friends of Southborough Recreation are sponsoring free scooped ice cream from the Trombetta’s Ice Cream Truck on July 16th!
Below is the list of scheduled performers in the Wednesday night concerts from 6:00 – 8:00 pm:
July 16th – The Rampage Trio
- July 23rd – Children’s Concert with Stacey Peasley
- August 6th – Paxton Crossing
- August 13 – Last Call Radio
The series is again sponsored by The Southborough Community Fund and Friends of Southborough Recreation.
