Affordable Housing Trust to discuss Atwood Parcel at Thursday morning meeting

In a prior post, I shared news about the Affordable Housing Trust’s offer to purchase a Town-owned 1.8 acre parcel on Atwood Street. I had noted while the agenda for tomorrow didn’t specify that topic, it might be open for discussion under the more generic agenda items. This morning, I learned of two changes. The most important is that the meeting was moved up from the original schedule.

The Trust will now be holding their zoom meeting at 8:45 am on Thursday, September 11th.

(Originally, it was scheduled for 7:00 pm.)

The agenda has been revised twice since the initial meeting was poste. In addition to the time changes, additional topics were added. The meeting will now include a discussion of the old Atwood Water Tower parcel, plus and a potential Community Preservation Act application. Those items are in addition to discussing proposed updates to the 55+ Housing Bylaw, strategies for affordable housing, and potential parcels for acquisition.

Thank you to AHT member Ellen Marya for alerting readers to the time change.
