Robert “Bob” James Bartolini, Sr, 73, of Holliston, formerly of Southborough, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness. His children were by his side at the time of his passing.
Robert was born on March 1, 1952, to the late Marguerite “Peggy” (Foley) Bartolini and John Anthony Bartolini, Sr. and grew up surrounded by a close-knit family, sharing his life with his three brothers.
Robert was the proud father of four children: Robert J Bartolini, Jr (wife Pamela), Maria Gribbons (husband James) Susan Bartolini (husband Daniel Kaslow) and Alise Bartolini (partner Ric Smith). His happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren, with his dog and in the company of his long-time poker buddies.
An avid Red Sox fan, Robert was a lifelong car enthusiast who delighted in long road trips, music, especially classic rock, and the companionship of his faithful dog, Patches. The family would like to thank Beth Israel Cancer Center for their steadfast support. We’d also like to thank his friend Dan for everything.
Along with his children and grandchildren, Robert is survived by his brothers John “Jack” A. Bartolini, Jr. and his wife Gail of Southborough, MA, Daniel Bartolini and his wife Lee Ann of Hopkinton and David Bartolini and his late wife Rose Mary, also of Hopkinton, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
