Given the dismal forecast for Monday, some of the festivities planned for the holiday weekend are rained out. One is going on rain or shine, and a couple others will be announced on Sunday morning depending on how the forecast is trending.
Here is the latest. . .
- The Friends of the Southborough Library’s Heritage Day Sale. The event is moved inside the library where it will still run from 10:00 – 3:00 pm.
To Be Determined: Now also Cancelled:
Heritage Day Booths on the Field — Southborough Recreation will decide on Sunday morning if there is too much rain and wind in the forecast to move ahead with the annual event featuring vendors and community groups at tables on the field. (And they did decide.)
- Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge — Organizers will also wait until Sunday to decide. (Rec’s cancellation means this will also be cancelled.)
Cancelled/Postponed:
- Pumpkin Stroll — The Rotary is cancelling their annual event that was scheduled for Sunday. But, there may be a rescheduled alternative version put on by the Library later this month. So, stay tuned.
- Heritage Day Parade is cancelled
- Fire Dept. Open House is postponed — They hope to reschedule the event for later this fall, so stay tuned.
Updated (10/10/25 5:11 pm): Rotary confirmed that they won’t be rescheduling the Pumpkin Stroll. Based on past community reaction when the events were cancelled, the Library is considering putting on their own version later this month. So Stay tuned for news.
