Updated (1/27/26 9:18 am): Due to the road conditions, the Southborough Library is also closed today. Southborough Youth & Family Services also announced that it’s in-person services are cancelled for today.
Unlike yesterday, there was no posted general announcement that Town offices would be closed for today. But I would assume that many Town employees will be working remotely. So, I recommend reaching out before trying to conduct in-person business at a Town office.
I just got the surprise, early morning phone call. It turns out that instead of a delay, public school is cancelled in Southborough (and Northborough) today. That’s also true for Assabet.
That means the Senior Center and any other program that mimics the school’s policy is also closed.
For those of you keeping track – this is the 2nd snow day this school year, pushing the last day of NSBORO Schools to Tuesday, June 23rd.
In Superintendent Gregory Martineau’s recorded message, he explained that the choice was necessary to allow the DPWs more time to plow roads and clear sidewalks.
