Lorraine Dinjian passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 81. The middle child of Frank and Eleanor Ferraro, Lorraine grew up in Watertown and was a 1962 Graduate of Watertown High, where she met her husband of 60 years, Richard Dinjian. She graduated from Burdette College in 1964. After marrying Richard in 1966 they moved to Southborough, where they raised a family together and where she lived most of her life.
Lorraine worked as a medical secretary for many years and later worked with children in an after-school program for the Southborough school system. For the past 20 years she lived at The Village of Orchard Meadows in Shrewsbury where she met many new friends.
Lorraine lived life to the fullest, enjoying most the time spent with her family and friends. She loved to travel and had many memorable trips across the United States, Canada and Europe. Whether it was visiting relatives in Rome, spending time at her house on the Cape, or on various bus and car trips across the region, Lorraine lived an incredible life and was thankful for every day.
The most important and enduring legacy of Lorraine’s life was her family, whom she loved beyond words. She was an amazing wife and mother and was the best “Noni” any grandchild could have. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She rarely missed a sporting event and was their biggest cheerleader. She was one of a kind and will be missed immensely.
She leaves behind her loving husband Richard, three children Rick, Randy and Scott, their wives Alyce, Tory and Basia, as well as six grandchildren that she adored: Adam, Riley, John, Kelsey, Ellie and Maddie. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, which saved Lorraine’s life 36 years ago. The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Lorraine later this spring.
