The Scholarship Advisory Committee posted its annual application for scholarship opportunities. This time, the application covers four opportunities.
Southborough residents who are currently enrolled in a “post-secondary undergraduate program” or are high school seniors planning to attend one next year, may apply for any or all of these awards:
The Southborough Town Scholarship, established in 1987, takes into consideration volunteer and work experiences that benefit the Southborough Community, academics, financial need, extracurricular activities, as well as written expression.- The following scholarships use the same criteria as above but with an additional focus:
- The Carroll Harris Memorial Scholarship, established in 1999 – the applicant must also have participated in gymnastics, plan to major in physical education, education or recreation, or have demonstrated active participation in a town recreation program.
- The Linda Hubley Memorial Scholarship, established in 2022 – the applicant must also demonstrate a commitment to their community through volunteerism, environmental protection and/or ongoing education in these areas.
- The Stefanie Ranieri Scholarship, established in 2025 – the applicant must also demonstrate a commitment to their community and their peers.
The Town’s single application form can be used for one or more of the scholarships. For the special scholarships, answers to the Extra-Curricular Section should the focus area(s).

To be considered, applications (with all of the required supporting documents) must arrive at the Town House by 4:00 pm on Monday, May 7th. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
