SOS (Southborough Organization for Schools) promoting another clothing and accessories sale. The fundraiser again taps into school and town pride. Plus, a new collection capitalizes on a recent media sensation.
While the internet at large has been obsessed with Jimothy the racoon this summer, Southborough social media users were focused on a much larger, local animal. In honor of the big bear that was spotted in many backyards late this spring, SOS added “SouthBearo” merch to their website!
The merch website promotes “Order now to get your gear when school starts!”
That pitch is specifically for “First Print Run” of items ordered by August 11th. Those items can be shipped free to students’ schools for pickup at the start of the school year. (Or delivered to your home for an extra fee.)
If you miss the deadline, orders will still be available from August 12 through September 13th, for items to be delivered at the end of September.
A portion of every sale goes to SOS, which uses their funds to support Southborough Public Schools.
In a promo for a merch sale late last fall, SOS explained:
Southborough Organization for Schools (SOS) has partnered with local business, Gilman Surge, to bring you Southborough and local school merchandise! . . .
You can show your Sobo spirit at sports games, town meetings, or anywhere else!
Collections of school-themed and Southborough-themed clothing include youth and/or adult sized items. The SouthBearo themed merch is only available in adult sizes.
Clothing includes t-shirts, sweats, athletic wear, flannel pants, Southborough baseball caps, and knit pom pom hats.
There’s also an adult sized Southborough hoodie that can be customized to list one of several sports (Baseball, Basketball, Field hockey, Football, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Skiing, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, or Wrestling).
You can shop all of the collections here.
