Above: Following up on Senior Center programs and newsletter highlights still worth sharing this fall. (images cropped from newsletter)
When I posted last Friday about registration opening for the Southborough Senior Center’s September & October programs, I only spotlighted a few I believed would fill up quickly.
This week, after the flurry of initial registration has passed, I checked back in to figure out what newsletter highlights were still worth sharing.
Below are programs that I’m told seniors can still sign up to participate in:
Concierge Physical Therapy Presentation
Tuesday, September 15, 11:00 am
The family owned outpatient clinic (with a location in Southborough) will talk about their “holistic, hands-on physical therapy and premium wellness services”. (Free presentation, details on page 6)

The center will host a social screening of episodes of the 2025 PBS documentary series directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. (Free)
Brain Health and Dance
Monday, September 21st, 1:00 pm
An Algonquin senior working on a project about “aging gracefully” will combine a presentation on the benefits of motion activities for brain health with an optional dance class (Free, details on page 6)
Intergenerational Rummikub
Saturday, September 26, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
The intergenerational event pairs high school students with seniors to play the popular tile game. (Free)
Blue Plate Special
Monday, September 28, 12:00 pm
Chicken pesto dinner ($6 Suggested Donation, details on page 7)
Even if you aren’t interested in the programs above, there are other ongoing events and services, and important tips relevant to seniors in our community that make the fall newsletter worth checking out.
Below are more highlights.

The SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Everyone on Medicare) Coordinator assigned to support Southborough seniors can offer help answer Medicare questions. (For details, see page 9).
