Members of the Southborough Fire Department practiced their ice rescue skills this week while a crew from WBZ-TV looked on. The more you use, the more you’ll pay. I wasn’t at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday night, but the Metrowest Daily News reports selectmen approved new water rates based on quarterly usage. It’s going to be a bit of a late start for students when school opens next fall. At last week’s Southborough School Committee meeting, Superintendent Charles Gobron presented the proposed schedule for the 2009-2010 school year.
