Celebrate Wellness (and Finn’s Julianne Topliffe) – May 28th

SYFS' Mental Health Awareness month will wrap up with a celebration, including the annual award presented by the Youth Commission

In two weeks, the community is invited to “Celebrate Wellness”.

The reception in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM) will include the presentation of the annual Laurie Sugarman Whittier Wellness Award. Election Results: No on Neary, plus a new face on the Select Board (Updated-Again)

Tim Fling will join Kathy Cook on the Select Board in place of Sam Stivers and Denise Eddy will serve on the School Committee

The preliminary results were released tonight for the Annual Town Election.

In a very high turnout by Town Election standards, voters overwhelmingly rejected the Neary School Building Project. The results for the Select Board race were initially less clear — but it looks like that race has been called. Talks on “Value of Validation” and “Digital Wellness”

I'm highlighting two talks next week as part of the Town's Mental Health Awareness Activities. I'm also sharing the updated list of other MHAM events through the end of May.

Southborough Youth & Family Services asked me to highlight two talks that SYFS believes are of value to the community.One is helpful for any adults. Recapping Special Town Meeting on the Neary Building Project

On Saturday morning, 1,178 voters checked into the just over 3 hour Special Town Meeting on the proposed new Neary School building project. They represented about 15.6% of Southborough’s registered voters.
