O’Leary’s continues to offer Live Bands and opportunities to perform

One of Southborough’s few watering holes, Owen O’Leary’s has amped up its promotions of regular live (and interactive) music. Two acts are featured this week, along with regular weekly entertainment.

US News boosts Algonquin’s “best high school” ranking

U.S. News & World Report recently issued the 2025 rankings for best public high schools. Algonquin Regional had its best year yet, shooting up to #14 for the state. And a neighbor that has previously topped rankings took a  little tumble.

Globe advocates repealing law that stops NSBORO from creating “in-house bus service”

The Boston Globe editorial spotlights Northborough-Southborough Public Schools' transportation cost issues

This week, an editorial by the Boston Globe Editorial Board supported a measure in the Municipal Empowerment Bill filed by Governor Maura Healey.

Beals Preserve is privately owned and supported by SOLF for public good

Southborough Open Land Foundation asked me to help them dispel a common (and apparently increasing) misconception about their 58.5 acre property known as Beals Preserve. Many mistakenly believe it is Town owned Open Space.

Sign up for Rec Connect’s adaptive fall outings & programs for ages 15+

Registration opens Tuesday Morning for the next series of adaptive programs

Over the next few months, the Southborough, Northborough, and Shrewsbury Rec Connect program will be holding more adaptive programs. The programs currently being promoted are geared to participants with a disability aged 15 years or older.
