I don’t normally post on the weekends, but my guess is many of you saw this truck fire and wondered about it. Fire Chief John Mauro Jr. shares what happened:

A late morning fire destroyed a pick-up truck at Town Center Plaza, 162 Cordaville Road on Saturday, January 9th.

The owner of the truck reported smoke entering the cab while he was driving north on Route 85. He pulled into 162 Cordaville Road to investigate and observed the fire at the truck’s firewall.

Several telephone calls were received from patrons at the busy plaza reporting the fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was injured.

Chief Mauro also sent along these photos. Click a thumbnail to enlarge and view as a slideshow.
