NSPAC to host presentation on reading disabilities on Tuesday

The Northborough-Southborough Special Education Parents Advisory Council (NSPAC) will host a presentation at the Southborough Library on Tuesday on how to identify early struggling readers.

The talk will be presented by Pamela Hook, Ph.D., president of the Massachusetts branch of the International Dyslexia Association (MABIDA) and Associate Professor in the graduate level Speech/Language Pathology Program at the MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Here’s a description:

Are you the Parent of a child who is struggling with acquiring reading skills? Are you a Professional working with children interested in learning about common indications of children having difficulty with acquiring reading skills?

Then join us for Red Flags-How to Identify Early Struggling Readers, an informative and exciting presentation exploring the signs and symptoms, as well as effective interventions, of reading disabilities.

Audience members will also have a chance to ask questions following the presentation.

The presentation begins at 6:30 pm. You can learn more at the NSPAC website (nspac.org).
