Each year the Southborough Cultural Arts Council awards grants for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science projects. Schools and individuals can apply for this year’s crop of grants by submitting an application by October 15.

The grants support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Southborough, including exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

Last year the Arts Council doled out more than $4,600 to support local cultural activities. Grant recipients included Pilgrim Church for the annual Messiah Concert, the Southborough Library for national poetry month programs, and Woodward Elementary for a theater presentation.

Funding comes from the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council program. You can find more details in this letter. Applications are available at the Town House or online.
