The Zoning Board of Appeals last night voted to approve permits that will allow the Gulbankian family to continue operating a machine shop and bus terminal on their Mt. Vickery Road property, bring to resolution an issue that has drawn out for more than a year.

Schools in Southborough closed today

It’s another snow day for kids in Southborough today. Superintendent Charles Gobron made the call early this morning to close school “because of the intensity of the present snow storm and the dangerous driving conditions.”

School committee wants to add a teacher, town faces $1M budget shortfall

Southborough’s new ladder truck was pressed into active duty yesterday as the fire department responded to two chimney fires in town. In both cases the fire was contained to the chimney, so neither house was significantly damaged and no injuries were reported.
