Job opening: Town of Southborough looking for administrative secretary

The Town of Southborough is searching for a new administrative assistant to work in the Building and Zoning Departments. The vacancy comes after current assistant Jeanne Survell resigned to take a new position with the town of Sterling, Interim Town Administrator Vanessa Hale said this week.

The Board of Selectmen authorized hiring a temporary worker to assist with the department’s needs until a permanent replacement can be found.

The Town of Southborough is seeking applicants for an Administrative Secretary in the Building/Zoning Department. This 35 hour benefitted union position requires a team player with excellent customer service skills. Duties include dealing with the public, developers, contractors and town departments and officials. Experience in municipal government is desirable. Computer skills are essential. Position requires high school degree and two years of related experience. Starting pay range is $17.36/hour.
