Southborough police logs (12/13/12 – 12/18/12): Driver flees after traffic stop

A traffic stop on Central Street last Saturday resulted in a K9 search after the driver fled the scene, and icy weather kept the Southborough police and DPW busy on Monday. Read about those incidents and more in the latest installment of the Southborough police logs (via Facebook).

  • 0002 hrs – Officers investigated a report of an erratic operator on Marlboro Road. The vehicle had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.
  • 0607 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an East Main Street business.
  • 0646 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0906 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0936 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0938 hrs – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Blackthorn Road residence.
  • 0953 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1036 hrs – A medical was reported at a High Street residence.
  • 1159 hrs – Officers investigated a three car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1238 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.
  • 1528 hrs – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1746 hrs – A Woodland Road resident called to report a missing package at their residence. The responding officer took a report on the incident.
  • 1825 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a white van speeding through the Presidential Drive neighborhood. The responding officer reported back that it appeared the van had left the area.
  • 2020 hrs – Officers investigated a report of a motor vehicle vs. deer accident on Maplecrest Drive. The responding officer had to put down the injured deer, while the driver of the vehicle reported no injuries.

  • 1035 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1236 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Main Street.
  • 1854 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Southville Road residence.
  • 1945 hrs – Officer assisted a stuck tractor trailer unit on Turnpike Road.
  • 2110 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street business.

Saturday, December 15, 2012

  • 0028 hrs – A medical was reported at a Schipper Farm Lane residence.
  • 0155 hrs – ARRESTED: An Auburn man was arrested and charged with OUI Alcohol and a Red Light Violation.
  • 0852 hrs – A medical was reported at a Sarsenstone Way residence.
  • 1128 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.
  • 1149 hrs – Officer reports that Santa has come to Southborough.
  • 1532 hrs – An officer took a report of a missing package from a Cross Street residence.
  • 1730 hrs – An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Central Street, and the driver of the vehicle fled on foot. Officers searched the area with K9, but the suspect was not located. Information was obtained on the driver, and an arrest warrant was issued.
  • 2031 hrs – Officers checked on a suspicious motor vehicle parked in Rural Cemetery. The vehicle and the operator checked out ok.

Sunday, December 16, 2012

  • 1247 hrs – Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a reported “Road Rage” incident. Both vehicles had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival, and Mass State Police were advised that they were now on Route 495.
  • 1431 hrs – Officers responded to a Main Street area for a report of gunshots in the woods. Officers checked the area, but the report was unfounded.
  • 1522 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1556 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Framingham Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 1657 hrs – Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Boston Road resident.
  • 1719 hrs – A Mass Environmental Police Officer requested assistance from Southborough Police at a residence on Boston Road. A resident at the address had violated established hunting laws.
  • 2127 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 2316 hrs – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Main Street.

Monday, December 17, 2012

  • 0326 hrs – Officers investigated a noise complaint at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0438 hrs – DPW was contacted and asked to treat the roadways.
  • 0903 hrs – Officers responded to Cordaville Road for a large tree branch blocking the road. The branch was removed from the roadway.
  • 0941 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0957 hrs – Officers investigated a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 1010 hrs – Officers responded to John Matthews Road for a tree blocking the roadway. DPW responded and cut up the tree.
  • 1203 hrs – Officers responded to Pine Hill Road for a tree blocking the roadway. DPW responded and cut up the tree.
  • 1227 hrs – Officers responded to Main Street for a large tree branch blocking the roadway. The officer was able to remove the branch.
  • 1232 hrs – A medical was reported at a Wyndemere Drive residence.
  • 1332 hrs – A power outage was reported on Atwood Road. National Grid was notified of the outage.
  • 1416 hrs – A power outage was reported on Banfill Lane. National Grid was notified of the outage.
  • 1416 hrs – Officers responded to Parkerville Road by Smith Lane for a large tree on the power lines. National Grid was notified of the incident and responded to the scene.
  • 1512 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 1533 hrs – An officer took a report of alleged fraud at a Turnpike Road business. The detective unit is conducting a follow-up investigation of the incident.
  • 1624 hrs – Officers responded to Overlook Drive for a tree in the roadway. DPW responded to the scene and cut up the tree.
  • 1706 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Parkerville Road residence.
  • 1927 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.
  • 2023 hrs – Officers responded to Darlene Drive for a report of a tree blocking half the roadway. The DPW was contacted and removed the tree from the roadway.
  • 2258 hrs – Officers investigated a parking complaint on Woodbury Road.

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

  • 0226 hrs – Officer on patrol reports two open doors at a Turnpike Road business. A search of the business found two cleaners inside the building. Both parties checked out ok.
  • 0758 hrs – Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Marlboro Road. No injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
  • 0824 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street business.
  • 1140 hrs – Officers investigated a parking complaint at a Newton Street business.
  • 1223 hrs – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Watkins Lane residence.
  • 1445 hrs – Solicitors registered at the department.
  • 1929 hrs – Officers responded to a Turnpike Road business for a parking complaint at the business.
  • 2015 hrs – ARRESTED: A Hopkinton woman was arrested and charged with OUI Alcohol, Marked Lanes Violation, and Violation of the OUI Per Se .08 or above Law.
  • 2140 hrs – Officers responded to Turnpike Road for a report of an erratic operator in the area. The vehicle had left Southborough by the time officers reached the area, and Westborough Police were notified that the vehicle may be headed into their town.
  • 2153 hrs – A medical was reported at a North Street residence.

I love that they included Santa! Kudos to our department participating with the Burlington Police Department!
